Alaska is known for its midnight sun. Hansen paints a red sunset in contrast to the 6 birch trees.  The thick acrylic painting of the birch was done with a palette knife, which gives the texture to the bark of the trees. 

This brightly colored birch painting will definitely give any home, office, hotel, doctors office or any public space a bust of color.
