Hi! My name is Tracy Hansen, owner and artist at 59 North Creations.

I started 59 North Creations to not only share my art, but also the work of other Alaskan artists.

In establishing 59 North Creations (which is Homer, Alaska's latitude line) I hope to share with travelers and other Alaskans what our town has to offer in new artists.

“Nikiski Birch- A Closer Look” a *canvas print of an original acrylic painting by Tracy Hansen

While spending time at a cabin in Nikiski, Alaska, Hansen was surrounded by birch trees; which inspired the series Nikiski Birch collections. With only two left available for sale and prints, these birch trees are set in front of a small lake and brilliant blue sky. The combination of brush and palette knife gives the painting variation in the texture background and rough tree bark.

This peaceful painting will give color and texture to your home, office, hotel, doctors office or any public space.
